It’s Time For A Change

written by Terysa July 11, 2019

We finally cross the Spain/France border and find ourselves in the gorgeous villages of Port Vendres and Collioure. Plus- a sneak peek at what’s coming up this season, including our time in the French canals!

Cheers,
Nick & Terysa

Dear Ruby Rose
I love your channel! My wife and I have been following you two for years. (We also love the Wynn’s). We have been following your recent video’s intently as we are within a year or so from casting off our lines for good and have been looking for our live aboard/work aboard boat. We are sailors but recently switched to a Hatteras power boat as our current cruising area in the Chesapeake bay. (Agree 100% in getting the boat for your plans now). However we are in a conundrum now as we look for a boat to live on and travel further. Mono- Cat- trawler? Like you we are currently considering a catamaran but last year prior to the Annapolis boat show we got on an old Celestial Pilothouse a purpose built blue water boat. We could not get over the storage, tankage and such. The next day when we went to the boat show and climbed on the cats again our enthusiasm was significantly diminished. Walking into a master cabin with one shallow hanging locker and a couple drawers was a little depressing. The only boat that actually impressed us last year was a Hylas another purpose built boat. Now we are even more confused as looking through the lenses of living on a boat vs spending time on one changes things drastically. I am loving your catamaran video’s but would also love to see you give your thoughts on a couple bluewater mono hulls, (Hylas, Discovery, Oyster), even a couple production boats in the same price range as the cats (likely 50-60′) just for fun. You two do a great job on the reviews. Take care and keep up the great work!
P.S. For me it’s all about comfort, I have a wife and two daughters! Gotta be comfy to keep them happy!
Jason
