Seawind 1260 Test Sail

written by Terysa February 27, 2020

After the Annapolis boat show we were fortunate enough to be able to take a very popular catamaran, the Seawind 1260 for a test sail. The conditions were calm and warm and we tested out this catamaran in light winds and poor visibility. We were also able to do another candid management interview with Shane Grover, the US marketing manager of Seawind. As with our previous interviews, the questions came from our Patrons and pulled no punches.

Enjoy!

Cheers,
Nick & Terysa

Seawind 1260 Review follow up questions:
1. Beveled salon glass – though tinted, does it not create an oven as opposed to vertical and/or shaded by an overhang designs?
2. Helm – Looking through two plates of glass in the rain, at night, would there not be a ton of glare and reflections interfering with good visibility?
3. Molds are awfully expensive to design, develop and construct, particularly for a small volume producers. How often does Seawind update its hull molds and what year version is this hull?
4. Did I hear loading recommendations correctly, 5500 lbs plus water and fuel?
