love it…all of the hard work…good humor…and willingness to share your journey- has paid off! thank you for your continuing efforts, …and ability and willingness to continue to share some of this amazing experience!!!
I am really interested in what you design, it’s going to be awesome. I’m into the technical side, being a electrician. Pity you can’t get walk in Engine rooms on a Cat.
What a THRILL this must be for you guys!! So excited to follow along on this part of the journey. And eager to know one day what a RR2 version of your boat will end up costing. 🙂
I picture the powers that be at the manufacturer who contacted you sitting around a glass table littered with muffin bits and corporate cups half-filled with cold coffee, binge-watching your cat reviews in endless repitition.
“They’re never going to stop until they get what they want.”
“If they were crazy or unrealistic or unfair we could just ignore them.”
“Let’s watch the Leopard one aga…”
“There’s no other solution, let’s ask them for help and see if they’re right.”
Will it push the envelope? Will you be able to video hull construction to final hand over or will it just be? I am interested and wish you well. Thankyou and congratulation on the engagement again and please Please change in ways that are good and the way will be that.
I think we’ll be able to film hull construction, they’ve indicated that this would be okay- it’s a super interesting topic, so we’d like to explore that a little further!
Very exciting times with all the design decisions and creating what you want in RR2. I appreciate your discussion that the design will allow for diesel or electric propulsion. I favor serial hybrid electric propulsion system and a Ruby Rose signature boat that was diesel only would not appeal to us. I found the “volt-in-a-boat.com” website very help to me in my decision for electric propulsion. We are really looking forward to the videos and podcasts on the development and sailing of RR2.

So exciting for me to be in on the transition to a cat and how that will affect your sailing. Blessings to you and cannot wait to hear the news.

Hmm, a performance Cat that doesn’t have corian work surfaces. Is it time to go and re-view all the boat reviews to see which manufacturer that is?
Can’t wait to see the final design. Congrats on such an exciting time in your lives…both the engagement and build.
