This week we sail through the Gibraltar Strait, a famous and historic narrow stretch of water that separates Europe from Africa and the Atlantic from the Mediterranean. There’s a lot going on. And it is indescribably cool to pass through this strait and see Morocco on one side, Spain on the other and know that you’re leaving the Atlantic ocean.
We get some really great weather for the crossing and although it’s a very early start from Cadiz, the sunrise is gorgeous and we manage to arrive in Gibraltar before dark. It’s a long day, but a memorable one.
